Well my dacshund has had some issues with old #2 lately. Squeals like a pig when going. So I took him into the Vet and he has Whipworms. We dogsat my brother-in-laws dog a few weeks ago, and I guess he had them. Then I guess my dogs ate some of his droppings...well you get the idea.

I expected Interceptor...instead he prescribed PanaCure. Here is a link.

I asked him about the red bugs and told him that some are using Interceptor. He about fell over. He said, "Who the hell came up with that bright idea...to put a canine medicine in a fish tank?" Of course I then said, Joe Weatherson...you know him by chance? Good guy!! LOL

Anywho...he said that he prefers to use PanaCure as it is much more effective IHO on the eggs and it is not as hard on the animal. Hmmm...maybe someone should try this stuff in a separate tank?

Anyway thought I would share.

I have used panacure from a horse feed store on my reptiles for parasites.

yup, ive heard of panacure for reptiles, its STRONG stuff. never had to use it on any of my reptiles but wild imported reptiles commonly are loaded with parasites and panacure is really effective.

what kind of reptiles do you have smaug?

This is a powder that we add to their food. I say "their" as we have to treat both my dogs. We need to give it to them for 3 days.

veiled cham and a leopard gecko. Had a jackso0n that I got at tower pets that never did well so I treated him with a drop of the stuff, sadly he still died. The veiled is indoors now but soon will be moving to his outdoor house ;)

i used to have tons of chameleons, jacksons cant handle fresno weather, its too much for them. i sold my whole collection and custom built cages when i started college because i knew i wouldnt have the time to care for them as they should be cared for, so i sold them to a local breeder.

i had veileds, panthers, jacksons, and oustalets.
