I wanted to know what people thought about these lights.

They are said to be used as supplimental lighting with PC's or T5's. They also said that they would work with a small nano tank alone. With as small as they are they would be perfect for retro fitting in a nano. What are your opinions on this product and the reliability of other current usa products.

I know they're a long way from being worth the money.;)

Current on the whole is a respectable company and IMO their lights are high quality when it comes to PCs, T5s, and their fixtures. These on the other hand...??

My main idea when I saw these was that they would be great for use in a small nano of about 20g or less. Something about them just cries out "Were not worth the money"

First of all how much do they cost? I didn't see a price. Second you have to look at what they are claiming in that write up. These are not to be used as the main lighing on your tank. All they are really saying is that they will add a shimmer to your tank. They might be worth the money if you are running a fish only tank, dependint on their coverage. I would like to see them in action.

They did say in the add that they would be great for nano's. They left out if they would be great for main or supplemental lighting. They run about 45 dollars on marinedepot.com.

Two of those would look rockin over a 10g QT. I may have to look into those.

I think I saw some redbugs in my tank today, its my own fault. I was too impatient by not setting up a QT. So I will be setting up a QT here soon, I just need to decide on the 70W HQI I already have, or buy some of these. If I get these, I will have to wait until my rep comes back from Kona later this week.

On a side note, there's a review for Aqua Illumination LEDs unit

link to an older PFO Solaris LEDs

PFO also has a "lower-tier" Galileo LED, geared for softies

These are the only true stand-alone LED products.

I love the picture at the end of that first article, the one that has the caption "who says you can't keep SPS under LEDs" Look at how brown that Acro is! Put that sucker under some PFO 250MH and whatch the whole thing be as blue as the tips. My 2cents
