Heya all,
I went to the Livestock (http://www.cvreefers.org/forumdisplay.php?f=6) forum, picked the forum that had the oldest post, and decided to post here.
:D
I noticed the other day that my 'Pumpkin Patch Echino' had a nifty yellow-green eye. So, I took a shot of it!
It usually exhibits that orange/pink eye w/ an ever so slightly green rim. Perhaps a new mouth forming? Perhaps a closed mouth?
Enjoy the shot!

Did you know that the Miami Hurricane and the Pumpkin Patch are the same thing?
Kinda funny, you can read about it here:

Ooo eye candy. How long did it take for the chalice to encrust like that?

You know, that's a good question. See that middle notch where it is kinda white? A frag was cut there about 1/4" wide or so. It has been about 5-6 weeks since that cut and it is now almost healed over 100%.
So I would guess the same time frame for the frag-plug encrustation or so.

Do echinophilas encrust? I didn't think they did. Either way, very nice piece.

The closest thing in my collection to that is this guy. (Note: I did not take the photos)
The first shot is more true-to-form IMHO. But not quite there... I'll try and take a photo of it next time I have the camera out. It's kind of an aquamarine color with green eyes:
