I'm in the planning phase of my canopy and stand build on how I want things. I am currently running 2 x 250w mh se and 2 x t5's ati blue plus running on a Ice Cap 660 ballast on my 55g. The Icecap 660 overdrives the bulbs. The dimensions of the tank is 60 x 16w x 24d. Since I only have 16" to work with I'm wondering if I can get away with swapping to VHO's. Should I run 2 x 60" bulbs or 4 x 30"? The reason I ask is because I've heard there's better bulb selections in 30", but I've not looked into it much tbh. I love the combination of my 14k mh bulbs and 2 ati blue plus. Since the Ati blue + are t5's, what bulb would be a good alternative for VHO's, or should I just stick with t5's? Dropped the Salt level from 1.024 to 1.020. Freaked out once I realized what I did and started adding salt. Added too much and went from 1.020 to 1.027. After about 2 hours was... Long story short I had to move my tank to the other side of the room. I had all my corals and fish in a 100g stock tank. When I re set up my tank I noticed that my Kole tang looked like his mouth was swollen and stuck open. I don't know what to do with him he eats fine ( he is a little piggy) do you guys think I should see what happens? And hope for the best. Gettin him out of the tank is not an option.
