I want to drill this tank any advice on drilling it. I really want to drill the bottom but I am a little nervous about it being deep and tempered

    220 tank build

Bottom panels on tanks are usually tempered (don't quote me on that). There's a few ways to figure out if it's tempered. Like the polarized sun glasses with a computer screen trick. YouTube has a few videos.

Drilling glass takes lots of patience. I drilled my 120, it wasn't fun. Messed up on one of the drain holes. I had to re-drill it with a bigger hole, had to cap it in the end, the new size of the hole wasn't going to work for my overflow boxes. So I guess I drilled a total of 6 holes.... 2- 3/4" returns, 2- 1.5" drains, and the one I messed up counts as 2 lol.

Looking for opinions. I want to put two eshopps eclipse overflow on the back about 10" from the sides of the tank which requires two 1-1/2" holes per box. I would also like to put two 1" hole for my returns. Will this be to many holes.

My opinion: no, it's not too many holes. You'd only really see the returns anyway. By the way, eshopps overflow are on sale at drsfostersmith right now until 7/26.

I need some help. I bought e marco 400 mortar. It works well, but it's gray. Has anyone used 2 part epoxy in their reef tank. If so what kind, where did you get it, how long did it last, and we're their any problems.
